Danny in Capri, Italy

Capri is one of the most beautiful place I have seen! Capri is very very small, and it is an island near Naples, Italy. Capri has great views, everywhere! If you climb up the mountain, there is an amazing hike you can take, and when you are at the top, you can look down on the ocean! It is so beautiful! Capri also has lots of alleys that have tons of houses lined up. Most of the houses are in the wall actually, well a lot where I was, that is what… Read More
Danny in Rome

ROME Rome is quite a beautiful place with lots of history, pizza, and pasta! 🙂 One reason I love Rome, is that everything there is very old and historical. When we flew into Rome, we arrived at a beautiful hotel that had a great view. The Colosseum wasn’t too far either! One day, we decided to walk to the Colosseum and my sister and I ran over to the massive building. But…we discovered that the Colosseum was closed! wa wa wa wa… So the next day we decided to walk over again. This… Read More
Danny in Santorini, Greece – April, 2015

Santorini is a beautiful place with lots of stunning scenery. It is actually on the rim of the top of a volcano with water inside the volcano (it’s not active :D.) The water inside Santorini is blue and green, and the houses are all mostly white, and some have beautiful blue domes as a roof. The setting is beautiful, and there are lots of restaurants and shops all over Santorini! Santorini is known for…I don’t know, but I would say for it’s beauty. The food in Santorini is very delicious, and the small shops are… Read More
Danny in Cape Town

In Cape town, we met Lorna and Marty. They help kids who often live in difficult conditions, and sometimes provide food and toys for them. After we met them, we had breakfast with them, and then went to their storage room where all of the products that they give the kids are kept. We helped organize a lot of their toys, cardboard, and recycling. During the week, we went to several homes with the kids they were helping. These homes are called Educares. We enjoyed meeting and spending time with all of the kids. Each… Read More
Danny in Cairo

We first flew into Cairo at about 6:00 a.m. which had to mean it was an early morning flight or an overnight flight which was very tiring for me (I snored away on the plane.) We met a woman named Leila (Lay-la,) who was our tour guide for Cairo. She picked us up at the airport. We drove into town, and got Falafel which is a patty of deep fried chick peas in bread. I didn’t like it very much, so I just ate the bread. We then drove to a museum and studied the… Read More
Danny and Mecan

Patara is a nice place where the people give you lessons on how to treat, and take care, and ride elephants. For the day, you get your own personal elephant to bathe, ride, and feed. My elephant was called Mecan, and the way I remember Mecan, is the word mechanical. In the first 20 minutes, you feed your elephant bananas and sugar cane. When you wanted them to open their mouths, you would say: “Bone”. And if they obey, and eat what you give them, you say: “Dee dee”. Deedee means… Read More
Danny’s Indonesia

Traffic Indonesia is a great place with lots of street food, cool malls with roller coasters in them, temples (which I don’t fancy), and markets. Waiting to cross streets is also very frustrating because so many motorcycles are in Indonesia that every second of the day, they will be riding on the road while they can. Some people try and fit four motorcycles in one car lane and some riders also put six people on one motorcycle! Traffic is the most challenging thing that could ever happen when you’re in a hurry to get somewhere while… Read More
New Zealand Through Danny’s Eyes

Hot water beach On the second day of our journey in NZ we went to…Hot Water Beach!!! As we walked to the beach from our camper van, we saw a very big black eel in a lake about 30 meters from the beach! None of us got pictures I think because we hurried to the beach. When we got there, there were jacuzzis already dug up for us! The water under the sand was warm and hot. The first jacuzzi we got in was a little too cold so me moved on… Read More
Inflatable Iguanas and More

Iguanas are big lizards and I see them all the time because I am in Mexico. Some live in tropical forests, some in deserts, etc… The green iguana is one that some people keep as a pet but they usually die in the first year of when they become a pet. They don’t normally get to live the way they do in wild life. I also do not know why, but other iguanas such as the Blue Iguana and others are endangered. Iguanas also maintain their sharp teeth and usually their own… Read More
