2016 Update: We visited Secrets the Vine for our second time in August and this time we stayed 3 nights. Here is a quick photo update on this beautiful resort. 2014 Turtle Release
Ryan and I recently had the opportunity to get away for a few days to attend a conference. Here we are below, working very hard! We stayed at the Moon Palace. While there, we participated in a turtle release program. We had to wait until after the sun set, as the turtles hatchlings typically make their way to sea in the cover of darkness. Ocean Coral and Turquesa
Ocean Coral and Turquesa is a beautiful resort located about 20 minutes away from Cancun International Airport. It is about 30 minutes south of Cancun and 30 minutes north of Playa del Carmen, so guests have several fun options if they want to get off the property. Dreams Riviera Cancun
Dreams Riviera Cancun is an excellent family resort option. It is set on a nice stretch of soft, sandy beach and offers pools, beach activities, fine dining, and so much more. Dreams Tulum
Tulum is a beautiful destination. It is about an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half south of Cancun’s International Airport (CUN). It is well worth the hike, as the beaches are beautiful. Day 41: Swimming with Endangered Green Sea Turtles
This past Friday, we visited Akumal, famous as a playground for Endangered Green Sea Turtles. We weren’t sure what to expect, and though hopeful about coming face to face with these gentle giants, we tried to remain realistic, understanding that no one can control nature, except God.
