“I’m Making Good Gelato. Marry Me” – April, 2015
Santorini…. Santorini is a beautiful island in Greece, full of beauty, adventure, and, you could say many magical moments. It is also a place packed with a lot of walking. Our days consisted of eating, walking, and resting. Of course, the entire time, we admired the pure blue of the sea, the color of the sky, the beauty of the island. We explored little valleys with hidden shops and restaurants, sampled many foods, and, just maybe, if we had been good that day, stopped by to grab a bowl of gelato at an amazing gelato shop named Lolitas.
The gelato was fresh, and came in big portions, (which was my favorite thing of all) and the people there were incredibly nice. They insisted we try every flavor. We, of course were polite, and didn’t eat too much. 😉 And the man who makes the gelato, and who is the owner, lived a few villas down from the cute villa we were renting. He is also looking for a wife. He has a sign up on the shop window saying, “Hey, I make excellent gelato, and I’m single!” or something like that.
And to make the trip even more special, Mikayla had her 15 birthday there, on April 15, 2015. Isn’t that cool? To celebrate, we went out to eat at a cute little place looking out to the sea. And we each got our own meals! That was awesome. We watched a movie after a little cake and a small dip in the Jacuzzi. Oh, the Jacuzzi! I forgot to tell you about the place we were staying! Oops. We stayed at a cute villa right by the sea. You could sit on the porch and watch the sun set. Or you could do it in the hot Jacuzzi right beside the porch! 🙂
The sun set is a brilliant red, casting a beautiful glow on the water. It was breathtaking every time. If you wanted to know what I mean, you would have to go yourself. Cameras can’t catch it all, you now. I would say that Santorini is one of my favorite places to visit. I hope to go back one day, and I hope you can too!

Nice job Kathryn. I think you should learn to make gelato and start selling it here 🙂 Santorini’s would be a good name for a gelato shop!
Thanks. I think I might. 🙂
I’ll be first in line, sweetheart! 🙂
