Vineyard Views and Italian Wine
One afternoon on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, we visited a small, family-owned winery tucked into sun-drenched vineyards that seemed to stretch endlessly.

The vines were full of color, leaves in every shade of green, gold, and red, with grapes tucked beneath like little hidden treasures.

We walked row by row, stopping to admire the way the light hit the leaves and how the grapes seemed to glow just a little.

There was so much beauty in the small things, the twist of a vine, the color in a single leaf, the way the grapes held onto the branch.

Incredibly pretty!

While exploring the vineyard, I noticed roses planted at the end of the rows. At first, I thought they were just there for beauty, but I learned they actually serve a practical purpose. The roses are more vulnerable to pests and diseases than the grapevines. By watching how they react, winemakers can catch problems early and care for the vines in a more natural way. It’s a small tradition that combines both beauty and wisdom.

After strolling through the vineyard, we were greeted with a glass of wine and invited into a tasting that told the story of the land, earthy reds, crisp whites, each one distinct and full of character.

Afterward, we enjoyed a light lunch made with seasonal ingredients from just steps away: fresh salads, warm bread, and local cheeses that paired beautifully with the wines.

It was a simple meal meant to be lingered over, with easy conversation, laughter, and just one more pour.

After enjoying the wine tasting and a delicious lunch, we found a quiet spot overlooking the vineyard. We sat for a while, taking in the peaceful view and the gentle breeze, until it was time to depart.
