Lake Como and Bellagio – Day 17 Part 2
Bellagio really is a gem. So picturesque and quaint. Here is a photoblog dedicated to this jewel of Lake Como.
Just look at all of those stunning flowers. They were everywhere.
I’m tempted to say Bellagio is the prettiest of all the towns and villages in the Lake Como area. Truly, it is stunning, picture perfect.
Tons of steep stairways make up a good part of the “streets” of Como with shops, cafés, and restaurants lining the way up and down.
The higher you go, the more breathtaking the views.

And so many exquisite details. Even the lamps and railing are beautiful.
Being one of the most alluring and acclaimed towns in the area, Bellagio can get flooded with tourists. I highly recommend visiting in the shoulder season (Spring/Fall). Even then, you’ll still want to arrive early before ferry tickets are sold out and the streets become overly crowded. Better yet, pre-arrange a private Venetian Boat for the day. More on that to follow.

The shopping is extraordinary and endless. High quality leather jackets, purses, bags, and belts can be found in stores with friendly owners and staff.
Jewelry and clothing along with tourist souvenirs are also available in abundance.

So many shops have created exceptional displays for even ordinary merchandise.
This adorable presentation was set up just outside the front door of this lovely boutique.
Last but not least, make sure to sample a few of the gelato shops before heading back to your accommodations.
Late afternoon, we returned to Como and enjoyed dinner at a romantic cozy little restaurant in Old Town. This was followed by drinks and dessert at a hotel restaurant with live music.

It was the perfect way to end the day.
