Lake Como and Bellagio – Day 17
After breakfast, we set out on foot and explored the area as much as we could today, at our own pace. Our first stop was getting ferry tickets to Bellagio. Since the weather was much nicer, we wanted to revisit this town. Ferry tickets for the speed ferry sold out quickly while we were in line so we got tickets for two hours later and headed into Como first.

We were planning to do this at some point anyway so we were glad for the opportunity. We love the streets of Como with all the beautiful narrow cobblestones walkways, the colorful buildings, and unique cafes.

One of our favorites spots for a quick espresso was Brothers. The other, which we discovered this day was Cafe Si. It sits just next to the Duomo with direct views and comfortable outdoor seating

Two hours in Como passed quickly and it was time to take the Ferry. After enjoying a nice Cappuccino at Cafe Si, and people watching with the sun finally making an appearance, we headed to the ferry dock to get into line.
The ferry trip to Bellagio takes about 45 minutes, and the views along the way are spectacular. These photos of Lake Como are taken with an iPhone through the glass of the ferry windows and hardly do Lake Como justice but will give you a small sense of the experience.
Bellagio – I know we’ve already shared photos from Bellagio but there are a few more. Stay tuned for Part two!
