Burgenstock – Day 11
Day 11: The Burgenstock – What a gorgeous setting! This luxury resort invites guests from all over the world, excited to experience the majestic setting. With views of sparkling Lake Lucerne below and the rugged, often snow capped Swiss Alps in the distance, you will not be disappointed.
Let’s start with a little Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee, French Pressed with a view you can hardly take your eyes off. And then I’ll dive right in.
In order to reach this resort from Lucerne, you have several options. The first two are to fly or drive in. My vote, however is to arrive into Lucerne first, take a very scenic boat ride over to the resort, and then embark on a short, very steep, funicular journey up, with views the whole way! Just look at the spectacular mountain vistas that await you when you reach the top.
This resort has been known for its elegant yet modern design, as well as its excellent service and warm hospitality. Since we first learned of it, however, management has changed, so the verdict on this is still out.
The Burgenstock offers an Alpine Spa with unique wellness experiences where you can relax and unwind with unbeatable views. There is much more information available about this aspect of the resort, but it is not something we will be covering in this blog post.
Below, I will be sharing photos of the public spaces as well as some of the gorgeous accommodations and their stunning views. In this particular case, a photo is definitely worth a thousand words.
Upon entering the resort from the funicular, there is an immediate luxurious and yet cozy feel to the resort with soft, welcoming chairs, and a warm fire. In the distance, you can catch a glimpse of the views you are about to be treated to.
Every detail of this resort is beautiful, from the beautiful wooden floors and circular stairways to the plush carpets. The details invite you to sit and stay awhile.

The rooms are some of the most special spaces we’ve ever experienced! Can you believe these views?

Some of the rooms are suites, with fireplaces and intimate living room areas or additional seating – also many with views.

The larger suites are spectacular, offering ample space, comfortable seating, and a home away from home atmosphere.
Even the closets and bathrooms are amazing – many with views as well.

I’m pretty sure I could lose my self in these beautiful spaces. Just a few more…
And remember the closets I talked about?
Given all the beauty that surrounds the resort, some rooms also take advantage of this with either balconies or roof top terraces. Incredible!
And last but not least, make sure to enjoy dining or at the very least, some delicious treats with your French Press coffee or tea!
