Paris Cafes, Hot Chocolate, and Macarons – Day 4
Day 4: Paris – I’m nothing if not repetitive, so I’ll say it again. When traveling abroad, slow it down if at all possible! Yes, it’s important to see the highlights but make absolutely sure you build in plenty of time to explore and get lost . We spent a lot of time wandering the streets of Paris on our own…the extraordinarily beautiful streets!
Paris has some of the best restaurants in the world. Try not to miss the cafés and coffee shops as well. I’m pretty sure we found the best café in all of Paris, serving Hot Chocolate with freshly whipped cream!
Of course we had to get some Raspberry Macarons as well. It’s hard to duplicate true French Macarons anywhere else in the world, so we made sure to enjoy them while we could. It didn’t hurt that one of the best confection shops was a mere 5 feet away from the entrance to our Paris hotel either!
And for the sake of travel research, we explored other cafés and sweet shops.

Architecturally Paris is a treasure! And there are so many churches, statues, and beautiful structures throughout the city that you can’t go far without discovering more.

And one thing you never get tired of seeing over and over is Notre Dame. Each time we saw it, it was from a different perspective, so of course, we had to take yet another photo.
