Riverside Luxury Cruises Mozart

During our River Cruise Expo in Budapest, I had the opportunity to spend 4 nights on the Riverside Mozart, a new addition to the Riverside Luxury Cruises. This ship was previously owned by Crystal Cruises and is unique to river cruise ships in that it is twice as wide as most river cruise ships. Here are a few photos we would like to share from our time on the Riverside Mozart. There will be additional photos to follow of some of the other river cruise lines we got to inspect as well.

Our first view of the Riverside Mozart.

Our check in was quick and welcoming, and we were then escorted to our room. Like many rooms on board a cruise or river cruise ship, room dimensions tend to be smaller than the normal hotel room, but the Riverside Mozart certainly makes the most of the space. The set up is practical, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom large enough to move around in without feeling too cramped. We especially liked the closet space, as it was much more spacious than anticipated, and the soft bathrobes were an added plus.

Keep in mind though that this is one of the smallest staterooms on the Mozart. We only found out about the River Cruise Expo a month before we traveled, so we were given whatever stateroom was still available. There are other room categories that are far more spacious and have balconies. Some staterooms are suites with separate living room area as well.

After settling into our room and unpacking for the next four nights, we started to explore our ship. Starting at the very top, we visited the Vista Deck, with comfortable seating scattered thought out, an area to cook barbecue, a casual bar and grille, and even a garden to grow herbs used by the Chefs on board. The best part of this area would be relaxing with a drink or snack while watching beautiful scenery float by.

Next is the Connoisseur’s Club – my favorite space on the whole ship!

It was so cozy and quiet with rich furnishings, dark woods and soft leathers, and beautiful wall hangings. I could have happily spent a whole day reading here.

Such a beautiful space.

And just a few more! Did I forget to mention it’s also a Cigar Smoker’s Lounge?

Next up is the lounge and the bar areas.

Lots of seating for everyone. Next is the Vintage Room for private dinners!

Pretty, isn’t it?

And for all of us regular folk…the meals in the normal dining room are pretty spectacular too.

I want to say this was a tuna dish with caviar. I wish I had saved the menu.

The way they displayed food was fantastic! And here are a few more snapshots.

Dining! It’s always a highlight of traveling for us. And last but not least – this was the first time the Riverside Mozart was sailing. We had the privilege of being invited to the ship’s christening. What a special event to be a part of!

So there you have it. The brand new Riverside Mozart – lovely, elegant, and luxurious. Hope you enjoyed that little jaunt through the ship. Maybe one day you’ll get to sail on it in person! Stay tuned for the next ship. For more information on our itineraries, feel free to email us at dtgainor@gmail.com or visit Global Getaways to learn more about how who we are and how we work.
